There Is Always Room for One More

Membership is free and open to anyone who respects our mission. You do not need to be a veteran or ride a motorcycle. Come to a mission, hold a flag, and see what it means to honor those who served.

"Standing for those who stood for us"

Who Can Join

A Place for Anyone Who Wants to Honor Those Who Served

Participation takes many forms. Some members ride, while others do not. What brings us together is a commitment to showing up with dignity, respect, and quiet support for veterans, service members, and their families. In the flag line, everyone stands with the same purpose.

The Bay Area Region serves thirteen California counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Monterey, Napa, San Benito, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and Sonoma. If you live near the region or simply want to stand with us, you are welcome to take part.

What Membership Means

Volunteer Your Time, on Your Terms

PGR is a volunteer organization. What you give is your presence and your respect.

No dues, no cost. You take part purely as a volunteer.
You choose your missions. Participation is voluntary. Attend what you can.
The family comes first. We attend only when invited, and their wishes guide every mission.
Honor and respect. A dignified, professional presence at every event.
Politically neutral. Members stay neutral while representing PGR.
Veterans and civilians. You do not need to have served to stand with us.
Riders and non-riders. You are welcome whatever you ride, or if you do not ride at all.
What to Expect

Your First Mission

Here is what standing with the group is like, from the moment you arrive.

A Ride Captain leads every mission. They are your single point of contact and coordinate PGR's invited role with the family, cemetery, funeral home, and any military honor guard, so you always know what happens next.

Arrive and Check In

Come to the staging location a little early. New riders are welcomed and introduced, and the Ride Captain thanks everyone for volunteering.

Listen to the Briefing

Before the mission begins, the Ride Captain explains the mission, the flag line, and what to expect, so you know exactly what will happen.

Stand the Flag Line

The heart of most missions is a flag line held with dignity. The American flag is always held upright and treated with respect.

Take Part at Your Own Level

If there is an escort, ride at your own skill and comfort. Riders and non-riders each have a place, and members watch over one another.

Keep a Respectful Presence

Phones are silenced, there is no alcohol during a mission, and we stay quiet, mindful, and respectful around the family and the service.

Close With the Group

When PGR's part is done, the Ride Captain brings the mission to a respectful close. You leave having helped honor someone who served.
